Be welcome in this black lodge....
Walpurgis Nacht
Hailing from oh so mighty Lusitânia (in ages now long gone...), come forth Walpurgis Nacht. Creators of dark atmospheres and venomous landscapes, these 5 warriors carry their banner under the blood-red sky, into the infinite obscurity of the soul. That which is impossible to describe mayhap perhaps be best referred to as blackish metal, one which comes from the intimate souls of WN´s beings. The sound is a mingling of obscure, evil, nightly scenarios, with dark erudite poetry. Aggressive, melodic, violent, atmospheric, chaotic; these adjectives melt into the bands overall sonority. The story-teller alternates between rasp, grim attack vocals, to guttural passages or impaler speeches, whilst always maintaining the rhymes in his poetry. Technical guitars give the feeling of devastation and melody, creating a mighty sound of textured spellbinding ambience. The superb synth work adds originality to this act, whereas melancholy and drama are always present. Along with the pounding bass are the infernal beats of the drummer, commanding the mayhem. It is, naturally, difficult to describe such feelings as the ones which emerge from the deep listening experience of the Walpurgian´s debut. In the future, some samples in mp3 format will be supplied (best suited for winamp), but the best will be to purchase the demo, to be recorded in Margem Sul studios, Cacilhas.
This is, in all, a dark symphonic gathering of magic, dark romanticism and woe. The debut consisting of four parts gives the elements own particular sense of what is evil, of the dark beauty of the nightly silence, of the ghastly winter moon and the sanguinary sky that spellbinds the chosen ones with its haunting fascination. It is bewitching and alluring to let thyselves be embraced in the art that Walpurgis Nacht have created, through supreme sorrow filled emotions and wrath against modern-day´s sad reality, full of beings who shall die without embracing the dark arts set in our hearts since all of eternity. Dwellers of the night, hearken! Thou art yet to be possessed by the Walpurgian spirit; be still if thou art to witness the unleashment of the blasphemic spells of war....Let your soul be embraced by the Walpurgian Spell....
